Non-stop work, but we love it!

Apologies for the gap in blog entries - we have been busier than ever.

Yes, it's our busiest year to date, we have had so many positive projects and happy clients which makes us all feel good about what we do. But today I'm taking time to update you on what we've been doing and what you should be doing in the garden now that summer is in full swing.

Keep watering! I know it was a wet winter, but it has been particularly dry and it is necessary to continue to water your plants, especially any new or vulnerable ones that have been planted this season. Use the coolness of the evening to gain the best results.
Pick, Pick, Pick - if you have a veggie patch then it is really important to harvest regularly to extend the length of your productive season. Also, you should be sowing your autumn and winter produce now: Chard, Brocolli, Kale etc. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of summer veg and easy to miss the window of sowing for your autumn veg.
Pots and baskets: regular liquid feeding is the best way to fill out your summer planting to get the absolute best from the floral displays. Keep deadheading and look out for slugs and snails who are particularly fond of petunias and dahlias.

In the borders it is good to support and stake your late summer flowering herbaceous plants which are yet to shine but will be putting on significant foliage growth. These plants are your staple for long lasting colour up until October so it's worth looking after them now.

We have been busy on lots of little styling projects: pool planting, a beach garden, raised bed planting, new vegetable beds etc. I've attached some before and after pics.

Happy gardening!
